To Summarize…
*The Fall 2010 collection focuses on layering chunky knits and the muted color palate adds to the collections Nordic feel.
*The utilitarian outerwear trend is still around. Check out their camel colored four pocket coat.
*Their gorgeous velvet two piece pant suit is a perfect addition to your wardrobe.
*Bubble mini skirts & fur vests appear to be a trend for this season.
*Add their leopard print belt to your collection & wear it on a day when you want to increase the “Wow” factor.
*Sequin mini skirts can be dressed down for everyday wear.

Love. Them. I have always loved the style & fit of Banana Republic. And how apropo that this collection popped up for a much needed Stylish Impression review just after I reviewed their sister company, Old Navy, last week.

Camel Color 4 Pocket Coat

It’s all about the Nords & utilitarian pieces this season. I love the neutral color of this coat and the button detail on the pockets. But, this style of pockets is best suited for accentuating the bust line. So just keep that in mind when you try on this piece.

2 Pc Velvet Pant Suit

I really think this two piece velvet pant suit is adorable. It’s perfect for the holidays because of its simplicity which increases its versatility. You can dress it up or down for any occasion. I also love two piece pant suits because you get, well, TWO pieces that can be worn separately. Yay for double versatility!!!

Please note I want my curvy readers to be aware that this will look great on you too! When you button the jacket it will define your waist and enhance your curvaliciousness! And the pants will do the same for your hips. But, regardless of the size you wear I encourage ALL to invest in Spanx to ensure smooth lines in your curves.

Grey Bubble Skirt

Bubble mini skirt alert! How many of these am I going to come across in my reviews? This is #2 so far. I like the fabric. I love most things with pockets. And that’s that for this.

Leopard Print Belt

Leopard print belt! Yes. Run out immediately and grab it. Belts are a great addition to your wardrobe. And this animal print is just enough for the animal-print-aphobe or the aficionado. Either way I think this will be worth the purchase.

Please, please, keep the use of animal print minimal. As I have recently been exposed to shows such as “Tacky House” and “Jerseylicious” I just want to say its ok to have a little. Keep it simple. Animal print adds texture to your look so try to keep all other elements smooth.

Bronze Sequin Miniskirt

This is how you dress down sequins. I bet you almost didn’t notice that amazing bronze sequin mini. It is a perfect splash of sparkle in this cozy ensem. You can dial the knit value back a couple of layers and just wear a belted cashmere pull over, opaque tights, & ballet flats.

Black Shift with Side Seam Pockets

I love the comfy feel of a shift. It can be very casual and it’s so easy to wear. If you wanted to dress this up a bit I would suggest adding a sparkly ballet flat.

Fur Vest

Here’s another fur vest for you to check out. This looks like it could be rabbit or a fox.
